As we wave goodbye to 2019, we here at SNAP Integrations are already looking ahead to 2020 and what we have in store to help keep our Lowcountry clients more secure than ever.
From more easy-to-use & affordable access control systems, to updating outdated security camera systems with crystal-clear, high resolution video surveillance equipment, our customers continue to benefit from our high standards in both products and services.
Even though we always recommend going with the best security solutions available (like the ones listed above) to help keep your home and business secure in Charleston, below are some smaller, easier things you can quickly do that will help improve your security heading into 2020.
Note: The list below are simple recommendations and not meant to be a complete list of best practices. As always, do your due diligence in all aspects of your security to keep yourself safe and secure.
This can be quite a chore, especially if you have a lot of security system passcodes and/or passwords. However, changing these out periodically helps keep would-be criminals from guessing or brute-forcing their way into your systems.
Proper passcode and password storage is also a key component to keeping yourself and your business secure, so whatever system or software you use for this be sure to keep that locked up tight as well.
Whichever kind of operating system you may use on your important devices, be sure to check and update the operating system and other important software applications with the newest versions heading into 2020.
Again this may seem like a chore, but often (if not most) of these updates include security patches and other kinds of updates that are vital to that software’s security.
Admittedly this step gives us a chance to self promote our security systems solutions in the Lowcountry. As mentioned in previous blog posts, we know what it takes to ensure you have the best home security in Charleston and why Lowcountry business owners choose SNAP as their security company, but it all comes down to service.
Whether you need help getting your home or property updated with better security equipment, are having issues with your system, need help working with the police surrounding a break-in or other emergency event, or just need some general security advice, you can be sure the SNAP Integrations crew will be there when you need us.
